General Guidelines

  • Although this group is based on Danganronpa, characters don't need to be Ultimates! Anyone is welcome to join the Anti-Herald Initiative as long as they have the skills and have decided to fight. You may choose to create a Former Ultimate that has graduated Future's Road Academy before the group began, or a normal person without any Ultimate talents. Members of Hope's Road to Despair whose character survived the group may join with their old character if they wish, with their Ultimate title.

  • Also differently from other Danganronpa groups, characters in this group must be of age! The youngest characters in the group will be the survivors from the previous group, who are 18 at the youngest. Former Ultimates are characters that have already graduated from Future's Road Academy before the Heralds came, and are all, at the very least, 21 years old at the moment. Non-Ultimates can be any age as long as they're at least 18.

  • Regarding talents, Future's Road Academy didn't enroll any illegal or sexual talents. The titles of Lucky/Unlucky Student, Hope, Despair, and Analyst were also barred. However, there's some people around who self-proclaim themselves as Ultimates... They have the skills, but weren't taken in the school, be it because they were too old, or because their talents weren't aligned with the institution. You may use a self-proclaimed title if you wish, but we ask you to stay away from sexual talents for everyone's comfort.

  • Your character must be human without any exceptions. However, their appearance can follow Danganronpa logic. That includes hair and eyes with unnatural colours, gravity-defying hairdos, sharp teeth, and the like. This kind of appearances are perfectly fine, but try to not have all of the colours of the rainbow either.

  • Be careful with overly tragic backstories, anime stereotypes and overpowered characters. While it’s fine to have some angst, don’t overdo it. Make sure your character's personality is realistically influenced by their backstory.

  • Lastly, our main focus is on having a diverse cast. Think about how your character can stand out compared to the others! It's more interesting if there's a variety of backgrounds and skills in the cast.

Visual App

  • You must draw a fullbody where the silhouette is, from head to toe. Please delete said silhouette!

  • We strongly encourage you to use a different drawing as a headshot, not just crop the fullbody.

  • Please fill in all the text information required. We encourage you to use the same font as in the template.

  • Feel free to fill any empty space with doodles.

  • Don’t change the colour of the application, or edit its size. Your character should not “pop out” of the application.

  • You may ask another person to draw the app art for you, but please credit them in the submission's description! Art used in the app without permission won't be tolerated.

Written App

Basic Data

Name: First name(s), surname(s). Do not remove the comma or alter the order.

Codename: Make sure to reserve your codename. Your character will be addressed by it during missions.

Gender: Any gender goes. Add pronouns if you deem it necessary.

Age: Your character must be at least 18 years old. Former Ultimates are all at least 21 years old due to timeline constraints.

Birthday: Only day and month. Don't flip them.

Nationality: Citizenship at the moment of their recruitment.

Ethnicity: Can differ from nationality. It refers to your character's culture and heritage.

Height: Include both feet and cm. Keep it realistic.

Agent Data

Division: Your reserved division (Fighters, Research, Medical, Intelligence or Support)

Rank: Everyone starts at Rank E. Agents in the Support division don't have a rank, so they must remove this section.

Job: Only for agents in the Support Division. You must choose one of the available jobs, found in the Divisions journal. Any other agents must remove this section.

Talent: Only for Ultimates, Former Ultimates and Self-Proclaimed Ultimates. Include a brief paragraph describing their talent, their abilities, and how they earned their title. We want to be sure of what they’re able of! If your character doesn’t have an Ultimate talent, remove this section.

Strengths: Any abilities your character has related to their division, such as their fighting experience or teamwork skills. Two minimum. Ultimates can have more strengths than their peers. These strengths may affect the outcome of their rolls, giving them certain advantages in situations they're good at. Be creative! Please don't forget to write an explanation of how these work.

Weaknesses: Everyone has shortcomings! They don't have to be directly related to their division as long as they could hinder them somehow. Two minimum, but try to balance them with their strengths. Like the strengths, they also can affect the outcome of their rolls because of their personal issues. You must write an explanation of how their weaknesses work as well!

Stats: Every agent starts out with 18 points to distribute. However, Ultimates, Former Ultimates, and Self-Proclaimed Ultimates have 2 extra points to assign to a stat of their choice. All stats must have at least 1 point, and the average score for a stat for E ranked agents is 3. You’ll be able to get more points as you rank up.

STR: Your character’s raw strength. Lifting things up, etc. It also measures the raw amount of damage of attacks.

DEX: The dexterity stat measures speed, finesse, and even stealth. How it’s used depends on your division.

END: Your character’s endurance to injuries and strain. It will also be used to calculate their HP

INT: Intelligence! How good is your character at problem solving and understanding concepts?

PER: Your character’s perception of their surroundings, attention span and ease to find hidden things.

CHA: How charismatic is your character? This stat influences persuading others, lying and other social situations.

Abilities: Rank E agents don’t have any unlocked yet. Leave blank. Support division agents will never unlock any, so they must remove this section.

Personal Data

Personality: At least 4 positive and 4 negative traits. Neutral traits are a plus. Include a description of each trait, or explain in a paragraph format. We will pay special attention to this section.

Likes: At least 3 in a bullet list. You may explain them if you want.

Dislikes: At least 3 in a bullet list. You may explain them if you want.

Biography: Explain your character’s life up until they were recruited into the resistance. Keep the group’s lore in mind. Many questions you may have regarding the timeline or the lore can be solved through the journals, but if you still have any doubts, ask us directly!

Briefcase: Agents may bring some personal items with them to the ship and keep them in their rooms. They can't take anything bigger than themselves, or weapons of any kind. Weapons and other items usable for missions will be supplied by their divisions or via purchase in the group.

Extras: Fun facts about your character. They can be anything such as their favourite colour, a theme song, or whatever you want to let us know your character better.
